Q4 Party Supplies Production Update: Halloween, Thanksgiving & Christmas

September is ending. For our factories in Xingtai and Shijiazhuang, this means the fall production season is entering its final phase.

Halloween orders are already shipping. Thanksgiving orders are in production. Christmas orders are being finalized. Our production schedules are busy as the team works to keep orders moving on schedule.

Here is where things stand, and what buyers should know as the season moves forward.

Halloween: Shipping Now

Halloween falls on October 31. By the end of September, many of our Halloween orders are already in transit or being prepared for shipment. That timing reflects the broader retail market as well. NRF reports that 49% of U.S. consumers began shopping for Halloween in September or earlier in 2026.

For buyers whose Halloween orders are already in production, the focus now shifts to logistics: confirming container bookings, tracking shipping schedules, and ensuring documentation is in order. The production side is complete. The logistics side is where delays can still happen. Industry freight reports have noted continued peak-season pressure and port congestion on trans-Pacific routes through September, which can affect schedules even after production is finished.

For buyers who are still finalizing Halloween orders, the window is narrow. Standard production and ocean freight timelines mean orders not yet confirmed may face limited options for reaching U.S. shelves before October 31. Some buyers may need to consider air freight or partial shipments, depending on order size and delivery requirements.

In our own order mix, number candles and spiral candles have remained active categories, including for birthday celebrations taking place during the fall season.

Thanksgiving: In Production

Thanksgiving falls on November 26. Orders for Thanksgiving-themed party supplies are now in active production.

Thanksgiving demand centers on tableware, decorations, and entertaining supplies. Fall-themed plates, napkins, and tablecloths are the core products. Harvest motifs, leaf garlands, and centerpieces are also in demand.

What we are seeing: Thanksgiving orders tend to be smaller in volume than Halloween or Christmas orders, but the product mix is broader. Buyers are looking for coordinated collections rather than individual items—plates that match napkins, decorations that match a specific color palette.

For buyers still finalizing Thanksgiving orders, the production window is open but narrowing. Orders confirmed in early October will have more options than those confirmed later in the month.

Christmas: Final Planning Stage

Christmas falls on December 25. Christmas programs are now entering a critical planning stage.

Christmas orders often require the longest planning window, particularly for customized or private-label assortments. Buyers who need custom packaging, custom colors, or new product designs should allow additional time for development and production.

What we are seeing: Christmas orders are more complex than Halloween or Thanksgiving. Multi-SKU programs, customized packaging, and coordinated collections are common. Buyers who planned ahead are in a stronger position than those who waited.

For buyers still finalizing Christmas orders, the key question is not whether production is possible. It is whether the full timeline—production, packaging, shipping, customs, and delivery—still fits the required delivery date.

What This Means for Buyers

For buyers with orders already in production, the focus should be on logistics. Confirm shipping schedules, documentation, and delivery timelines. The production side is complete. The logistics side is where delays can still happen.

For buyers still finalizing fall orders, confirm what is still possible. Standard products with existing specifications can move faster than customized products. If you need products before a specific holiday, ask your supplier what production and shipping options remain available.

For buyers planning 2027 programs, the fall production season is a useful preview of what early planning can unlock. The buyers who started early this year had more options—across production capacity, packaging, and shipping. That lesson applies to next year's planning as well.

How We Are Managing the Season

Our two factories operate on coordinated production schedules. Orders are allocated based on confirmation date, product complexity, and delivery requirements.

For standard products with existing specifications, production timelines are generally more predictable. For customized products—new designs, custom packaging, coordinated collections—additional preparation time is required.

Our current planning reference is 15–20 days for standard products with existing specifications and packaging, 20–25 days for customized products with new packaging or design requirements, and 25–30 days for customized products with customized packaging.

These are production estimates only. They do not include freight, customs clearance, or inland delivery. Buyers should confirm the applicable timeline with their supplier before placing an order. Actual timing can vary based on order quantity, customization requirements, material availability, and destination.

The Season in Perspective

Fall is not a single season. It is a sequence of buying windows—Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas—each with its own timeline and product requirements.

Halloween is the most immediate. Thanksgiving is in production. Christmas is entering its final planning stage.

Multi-SKU and customized programs generally require more production coordination, making early planning particularly important. For those still finalizing orders, the question is not whether production is possible. It is whether the complete timeline—from production to delivery—still works. The earlier that question is answered, the more options remain available.
